OUT TO BE THE BIG MAC: Heading into the Mid-American Conference Championships with a 2002 home undefeated record, the women's cross country team is hoping there is no place like home. After a one-week layoff following the pre-nationals, the RedHawks hope to gain their first MAC team championship in program history. The Red and White finished fourth at last year's championship.

CHECKING OUT THE COMPETITION: Toledo enters the 2002 MAC Championships as the front runner with senior Brianna Shook leading the way for the Rockets. The race is wide open for any MAC team, although Ball State, Kent State and Miami have all proven to have the fire power to hang with Toledo for the top spot in the MAC. The RedHawks have faced eight of the 12 MAC schools in head-to-head competition. Miami has beaten seven of the eight teams at one point during the season. Toledo is the only team Miami has yet to catch.
