CLEVELAND - For the second week in a row, sophomore Andrea Kremer (Indianapolis, Ind./Bishop Chatard) was named Mid-American Conference Women's Runner of the Week, after finishing first at the Miami Fall Classic Saturday on the Western Campus Course. She also took home MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week honors.
An all-MAC and all-region performer last season, Kremer won the women's race last weekend in a time of 21:33, more than a minute faster than the previous course record. Her performance helped the RedHawks take the team title at the meet for the first time in its six-year history.
The win at this year's Fall Classic marked Kremer's third career individual title. She claimed the top spot Sept. 8 at the Miami Invitational and at last year's Fall Classic.
Kremer and her teammates travel Saturday, Sept. 29 to the the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota.
