OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University women's cross country team has climbed into the top-10 of the Great Lakes Regional rankings of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The RedHawks, ranked 14th in the coaches' preseason poll, most recently won the Cedarville Invitational over a 19-team field on September 15.

Sophomore transfer Laura Neufarth has led the pack so far, winning two-straight MAC Runner of the Week awards, and has won her first three collegiate races at Miami.

Fellow MAC teams in the top-15 regional rankings include Ohio (6th), Akron (7th), Ball State (11th), Central Michigan (13th), Toledo (14th) and Bowling Green (15th).

The women's cross country team next competes at the All-Ohio Championships in Delaware, Ohio on October 5th.
