OXFORD, Ohio, (Sept. 23)--Miami University's women's cross country team enjoyed a strong outing at Saturday's Miami Fall Classic, running to a close second-place finish.

Miami was led by Andrea Kremer's first-place finish in a blazing time of 22:34. Also scoring for the Red and White were Carrie Hucko, who finished seventh, Liz Lundgren, who finished eighth, Tara Pratt, who captured 16th and Beth Hambach, who finished 17th. The RedHawks were edged by first-place Western Michigan, which totaled 44 points to Miamis 49. Eastern Kentucky finished third with 79 points, followed by Ohio State with 91, Louisville with 114 and IUPUI with 135.

The Miami women are off until Oct. 6, when they run at the Notre Dame Invitational.
