OXFORD, Ohio (Sept. 2) -- Paced by freshman Andrea Kremer's second-place individual finish in 18:20, Miami University's women's cross country team placed second in a meet with Ball State and Butler. Scoring 21 points, Ball State won the meet followed by Miami with 36 points and Butler with 79 points.

Freshman Kristin Wrede was the RedHawks' next-best finisher, placing sixth in 19:07. Sophomore Kylee Studer followed Wrede with a seventh-place showing in 19:10, while freshman Carrie Hucko') time of 19:28 earned 10th place. Rounding out Miami's top five finishers was Beth Hambach with an 11th-place finish in 19:29.

The RedHawks return to action next Saturday, hosting the Miami Invitational. Start time is 10 a.m.
