OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University women's cross country team has been honored as a U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Associated All-Academic Team for their tremendous work in the classroom.

Head coach Richard Ceronie's 2007 squad had a team grade point average of 3.54, ranking 30th in the nation among NCAA Division-1 women's cross country teams.

The USTFCCA began honoring cross country teams for their academic achievements 14 years ago and the Miami women's cross country team has achieved all-academic recognition each year.

The RedHawks were impressive on the trails as well, finishing eighth in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional and third at the MAC Championships. The team also boasted the MAC individual champion in sophomore Laura Neufarth, also an NCAA Championship qualifier.

The 2007 RedHawks included seniors Mia Fiegelist, Sarah Henize, and Jennie Stoll, juniors Rebekah Hollander and Christina Mackell, sophomores Jessida DeWitt, Mallory Fetterman, Michelle Huddle, Jenna Kruse, Kelsey McHugh, Amanda Mirochna, Neufarth, and Madeline Schork, and freshman Jilliam Black, Allison Cordek, Katie Lenahan, Jessica Londeree, Rachel Patterson, and Julianna Roche.
