YPSILANTI, Mich. - Jennie Stoll (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) was Miami's top finisher at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional at the Eagle Crest Golf Course in Ypsilanti, Mich., on Saturday as the RedHawks finished 12th as a team.

Stoll finished the race in 21:07.3, taking 27th overall. Carol Eckerly (Beavercreek, Ohio/Beavercreek) was the next Miamian across the tape, finishing 65th in 21:42.7. She was followed among RedHawks by Sarah Henize (Bucyrus, Ohio/Bucyrus) in 88th (22:11.9), Kristen Proach (Canton, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas) in 91st (22:14.4) and Kelly Ardelean (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) in 93rd (22:14.7).

Rounding out Miami's participants were Mia Fiegelist (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) in 93rd (22:15.4)and Tricia Frisella (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) in 135th (23:13.4).

The race's individual winner was Michigan's Rebecca Walter, who finished in 20:01.4 as the Wolverines also won the team title. Michigan and Notre Dame won the Great Lakes region's automatic bids to the Nov. 22 NCAA Championships, two of 18 teams that will qualify automatically from nine regions. Thirteen more teams qualify by at-large bids to be decided this weekend by an NCAA committee.
