OXFORD, Ohio - In the RedHawks' only home meet of 2005, sophomore Jennie Stoll (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) placed third in her first race back from injury, and the Miami University women's cross country team finished fourth at the Miami Invitational on Saturday morning at the Western Campus Course. Stoll finished the 5K race in 18:45.5, nearly 26 seconds ahead of the RedHawks' second-place finisher, and she was one of three RedHawks to finish among the top 15.

Sophomore Sarah Henize (Bucyrus, Ohio/Bucyrus) was the second RedHawk runner across the finish line as she finished ninth (19:11.5), and it was a strong follow-up performance to last weekend's runner-up finish at the Flyer 5K Challenge. Behind Henize, Kristen Proach (Canton, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas) placed 14th (19:23.43).

Cincinnati (54 points) edged out Eastern Kentucky (56 points) for the Miami Invitational title. Malone (67 points), Miami (75 points) and MAC foe Kent State (116) rounded out the top five.

The RedHawks' next race is scheduled for Sept. 17 as they will compete at the Cedarville/Friendship Invitational in Xenia, Ohio.
