Complete Results KETTERING, Ohio - Freshmen Carol Eckerly (Beavercreek, Ohio/Beavercreek) and Jennie Stoll (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) took second and third, respectively, while fellow rookie Tricia Frisella (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation Academy) finished fifth as Miami women's cross country won the Dayton Invitational for the second-straight year on Saturday at Indian Riffle Park in Kettering, Ohio. Eckerly finished in 18:51, eight seconds behind race winner Ruth Limo of Cincinnati. Stoll was another eight seconds back of Eckerly in 18:59, while Cincinnati's Karen Berling separated that Miami duo from Frisella (19:17). Kristin Proach (Canton, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas), in her first season as a member of the cross country squad, took seventh in 19:23. Junior Kelly Ardelean (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) was Miami's final scorer in 10th, finishing in 19:40. While placing all five scorers in the top ten, Miami totaled 27 points, well ahead of runner-up Cincinnati at 60. Dayton (87), Xavier (88), IUPUI (126) and Wright State (159) completed the Division I field. More freshmen showed promise for the RedHawks in Dayton, as Mia Fiegelist (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) finished just out of the scoring in 11th (19:41) and Sarah Henize (Bucyrus, Ohio/Bucyrus) took 14th in 19:47. Sophomore Abbey Reeser (Circleville, Ohio/Circleville) took 34th in 20:52 while teammates Lindsey Carlin (Oxford, Ohio/Talawanda), who finished 38th in 20:59, Leslie McCue (Braidwood, Ill./Reed-Custer), who finished 44th in 21:23, and Jen Taylor (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) (65th, 22:54) completed Miami's entrants. Next weekend is the RedHawks' turn to host an invite, as the women's race of the Miami Invitational commences at 10:45 a.m. next Saturday.
