CLEVELAND -- Miami's Carli Reihman was named the MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week on November 1, after an impressive set of performances over Bowling Green and Northern Illinois last weekend.

Reihman (middle hitter, Sr., 3.44, exercise science, Cincinnati, Ohio) was named the Mid-American Conference Volleyball East Division Player of the Week for the second time this season on Oct. 29. Reihman put together two kill/dig double-doubles last week. Against Bowling Green, Reihman posted a season-high 20 kills, while hitting .486, and recorded 15 digs. Reihman followed that up with 16 kills and 10 digs in a four-game win over Northern Illinois. Reihman has led the RedHawks to a 10-2 MAC record, which is the most conference wins for a Miami team since the 2001 RedHawk squad won 11 MAC matches.

The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. The winners are selected by a group of the conference's faculty athletic representatives.

Miami hits the floor for two important Mid-American Conference games this weekend against Kent State. The RedHawks, who are currently one game behind No. 16 Ohio and tied with Kent State, entertain the Golden Flashes at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, before welcoming No. 16 Ohio to Millett Hall for a 7 p.m. showdown on Saturday, Nov. 3
