At Miami: Became the only freshman in MAC history to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships by virtue of her 11th-place finish at the Great Lakes Regional Championships ... finished fourth at the MAC Championship in cross country ... earned all-MAC and all-region ... placed 111th at the NCAA Championship ... one of only 13 freshmen to make the meet ... redshirted during the indoor track season ... won the 5000 at the UNC Wilmington Collegiate Track Series. High School: Ohio Division II state champion in the 3200 meters and finished third in the 3200 at the Midwest Meet of Champions as a senior ... district and regional champion in 3200 ... finished fourth as a senior in the Ohio State Cross Country Championships. Ceronie's Comment's: "Kristen improved tremendously during her high school senior year. She had another major step forward during this past fall when she qualified to the NCAA meet. It is a tremendous accomplishment to qualify for the NCAA's and a very rare occurence as a freshman. Kristen is dedicated to what she is doing and I believe she will have a great career at Miami."
