High School: One of the top softball pitchers in the state before picking up track her junior year ... finished sixth in the state meet as a junior in the 3200 meters and second as a senior ... all-state in cross country her senior campaign ... won the U.S. Junior Olympic cross country title with an 18:00 in the 5K ... ran one of the fastest high school 5000 meters indoors (18:00) in the country ... ranked in top 20 in U.S. in 3200 ... featured in Track & Field News for pitching all 24 innings of a May 6 softball game before Bishop Chatard lost 4-3 ... set regional records in winning both the 1600 and 3200 meters. Ceronie's Comment's: "I believe she made the right decision in choosing to run instead of softball. Andrea had a fantastic spring season, culminating with her 10:39 state race. It was unfortunate that she placed second since her time would have won the state meet any other year."
