OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University senior high jumper Kristina Bolterstein has been named to the All-Mideast Region team by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for her performance at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Bolterstein earned a fifth-place finish and an invitation to the NCAA Championships by winning a dramatic sudden-death jump-off over Megan Seidl of the University of Wisconsin, clearing 5-9 ¼.

A 2007 Outdoor All-American, Bolterstein enters the 2008 NCAA Championships ranked 18th nationally with a season-best of 5-10 ¾. She won her first Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championship in May after winning three MAC Indoor Championships earlier in her career.

Bolterstein will compete in the NCAA High Jump Championship prelims on Wednesday, June 11 beginning at 4 p.m. The finals take place on Friday, June 13 at 4:45 p.m. on the campus of Drake University.
