OXFORD, Ohio - Kristina Bolterstein and DeLana Turner will travel to Arkansas this coming weekend to compete in the NCAA Mideast Regional Track and Field Championships.

The regional championships take place on Friday and Saturday at the University of Arkansas' McDonell Field.

Bolterstein, a senior from Middleburg Heights, Ohio, is making her third regional appearance in the high jump. She most recently won the MAC Championship on May 17 with a leap of 5-8 ¾. She has gone as high as 5-10 ¾ this season which ranks her 18th nationally and fourth in the region. She has a personal best of 6-1 ½ which she set during the 06-07 season, tying the MAC record and setting a new Miami record. She is a four-time MAC high jump champion and is a four-time national qualifier in indoor and outdoor competition, earning All-American honors a year ago.

Turner, a sophomore from Gates Mills, Ohio, will compete in the 100-meter hurdles this weekend. She ranks 35th in the Mideast region with a season and personal-best time of 13.83, set at the MAC Championships, earning her fourth place.

Prelims for the 100-meter hurdles take place on Friday at 4:10 p.m., with the finals starting at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Bolterstein will compete in Saturday's high jump competition, beginning at noon.
