OXFORD, Ohio - After a strong showing at the All-Ohio Championships last weekend which earned them a third-place finish, Miami women's track and field team travels to Indianapolis, Ind. this Saturday to compete in the Butler Twilight.

Sophomore Laura Neufarth began the meet Friday night on a high note for Miami as she finished first in the 10,000 meters with a time of 36:01.62.

Kristina Bolterstein added another victory for the RedHawks when she cleared 5-08.75 in the high jump, defeating the second-place finisher by nearly two inches. Alexis Lape continued the streak of wins as she crossed the finish line in 1:00.86 to clinch the 400-meter hurdles. Senior teammate Andrea Tepe finished a close-second in the event with a time of 1:02.92, while junior Julia Dempster earned fifth in 1:04.51

Rebekah Hollander finished a strong third in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:15.51. The 4X400 relay team of Lape, Tepe, Ruth Rasch, and Betsy Allen also earned points for the RedHawks as they finished second in 3:49.03.

The next stop for the RedHawk women after the Butler Twilight will be Columbus, Ohio where they will face off in the Ohio State Invitational on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3.

Results of the Butler Twilight will be posted once they are received.
