KEEPIN THE STREAK ALIVE: The Miami women's track and field team is 11-0 in their past two meets and look to stretch their streak as they travel to Cincinnati to compete against the Bearcats and Ohio in the fifth annual Southern Ohio Cup on Saturday, April 19. The RedHawks are making quite a statement on the national scene as they are currently ranked ninth in the country according to the Team Power Ranking. Competition is scheduled to begin in the field events at Noon at Coy Field and the running events at 2 p.m. at the Meyers Track & Field Complex on the campus of the University of Cincinnati.

The format of the meet is unique in that the champion is determined by combining men's and women's team scores. This is the fifth year the current scoring system and the name "Southern Ohio Cup" have been used. The men's side of the meet actually dates back many years, with the women's inclusion coming in 1996.

The RedHawks are due to take the crown this year. The Bearcats took the title last year, scoring 295 points to Miami's 289 and Ohio's 221. Two years ago, the Bobcats won a tight meet, finishing with 281 points, followed by Cincinnati (273) and Miami (260).
