As the weather continues to warm in Ohio, the 2003 women's outdoor track and field team will debut their season down in Alabama at the prestigious Alabama Relays this weekend at the Sam Bailey Track and Field Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Nearly 50 other schools will be competing against Miami for the early season momentum.

The RedHawks will see some of the nation's top competition with the likes of Georgia Tech, Auburn, Ole Miss, Maryland, West Virginia, Louisville and Drake competing down south.

The individual events will go all day Saturday with competition beginning at 8:00 a.m. Sunday's action also begins at 8:00 a.m. with the women's hammer throw.

The relay portion of the meet, which will be scored, takes place Sunday beginning at 12:30 p.m. with the women's shuttle hurdle relay and will conclude Sunday night.
