CLEVELAND -- For the fifth time in as many seasons at Miami, sophomore Andrea Kremer (Indianapolis, Ind./Bishop Chatard) has been named an all-Mid-American Conference performer, this time landing on the second team following runner-up and fifth-place showings at last weekend's indoor track and field championships.

At the conference meet on Saturday, Kremer battled Toledo's Briana Shook down to the wire in the 3,000, getting edged at the finish line, 9:43.35 to 9:43.93. Both times broke the previous MAC meet record by at least five seconds.

Kremer also came in fifth in the mile with a time of 4:58.55 and ran the final leg of the fifth-place distance medley relay, which finished in 12:00.32.

Over the course of the indoor season, she posted the fastest 3,000 clocking (9:39.20) and third-fastest time in the mile (4:54.78).

Prior to this, Kremer had been named to the all-MAC first team following the 2001 outdoor track and field and cross country seasons, and the all-MAC second team at the conclusion of the 2000 cross country and 2001 indoor track and field campaigns.
