BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Miami University women's track and field team completed their final tune-up before the MAC Championships next weekend by competing in the Billy Hayes Invitational at Indiana University on Friday.
Kristina Bolterstein won the high jump, clearing 5-7, while Katelyn Kelly took second at 5-5 and Kristen Mathews finished eighth with an identical 5-5.
Amanda Mirochna took seventh in the 800 meters, running a 2:12.72. Jennie Stoll took third in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:46.62.
DeLana Turner was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.23, while Andrea Tepe took 10th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.83.
Britney Bernardoni finished in a tie for fifth in the pole vault, clearing 11-3 ¾, while Amanda Rhoades was eighth with the same height.
Nicki Mitchell leaped 17-8 ¾ in the long jump, taking eighth place, while Hope Alexander took fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 36-5 ¾.
Erin Frazer had a throw of 118-7 in the javelin, good for ninth place.
The RedHawk 4X100 relay team took sixth with a time of 47.64.
The MAC Championships begin on Thursday and run through Saturday on the campus of Bowling Green State University. Admission to the events is free of charge.
