CINCINNATI--Miami University's women's track and field team finished third among a 12-team field at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by the University of Cincinnati. Three RedHawks posted first-place finishes at the event.
On Friday evening, Laura Neufarth posted a first-place finish in the 10,000 meters, clocking a time of 36:01.62.
Clearing a height of 5-08.75, Kristina Bolterstein won the high jump, besting her nearest competitor by nearly two inches.
Miami had a one-two finish in the 400-meter hurdles with Alexis Lape capturing a first place finish in a time of 1:00.86 and Andrea Tepe clocking a time of 1:02.92 to take second place. Miami gained more points in the event as Julia Dempster placed fifth.
Additionally, Miami had three others place among the top three in their respective events. Amanda Mirochna finished second in the 1500-meter run, crossing the finish line in a time of 4:36.16. Jessica DeWitt placed third in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing in a time of 11:31.09 to edge out the fourth- and fifth-place finishes. Rebekah Hollander ran the 5000 meters in a time of 17:15.51 to finish third in the event.
The RedHawks' 4x400 meter relay team of Lape, Tepe, Ruth Rasch and Betsy Allen also posted a second-place finish in a time of 3:49.03.
Miami returns to action on April 26 at the Butler Twighlight.
