COASTAL CAROLINA, S.C. - The Miami University women's track and field team began full competition at the Shamrock Invitational on the campus of Coastal Carolina in South Carolina on Friday.

Laura Neufarth won the 3000 meters in a time of 9:54.10, while teammate Rebekah Hollander came in third at 10:21.61.

Nicki Mitchell finished in second place in the heptathlon, ending with 4,372 points.

Margarita Pogorelov was third in the 100-meter dash prelims with a time of 11.99. DeLana Turner and Alexis Lape finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 100-meter hurdles, with times of 14.54 and 14.58.

Amanda Mirochna, Andrea Tepe, Katie Lenahan and Jennie Stoll combined for second place in the distance medley, finishing in 11:59.80.

Competition in the Shamrock Invitational concludes on Saturday, March 22.
