FINDLAY, Ohio - The Miami University women's track and field team won the All-Ohio Championships, outperforming Cincinnati and Ohio State, on Saturday at the University of Findlay.

The RedHawks' 161.50 placed first with the University of Cincinnati second at 106. Ohio State was third with 92 points, while Ashland University was fourth with 70.

Alisha Jones and Nicki Mitchell tied for first place in the pentathlon with 3388 points, while Katelyn Kelly was right behind in third place with 3319.

Laura Neufarth ran away with the 5,000 meters, winning the event in 16:59.82, while teammate Rebekah Hollander was second with a time of 17:46.06.

Kristina Bolterstein and Katelyn Kelly were 1-2 in the high jump at 5-7, while Kristen Mathews tied for third place at 5-5.

DeLana Turner was third in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.71 seconds, while Margarita Pogorelov was second in the 60-meter and 200-meter dash, finishing in 7.63 seconds in the 60 and 25.42 in the 200.

Brittney Bernardoni was seventh in the pole vault, clearing 11-2 1/4, while Alexis Lape was fifth in the long jump with a mark of 17-5 1/4 and Hope Alexander was third in the triple jump at 36-5 ½.

 

 

Amanda Mirochna and Jennie Stoll were 1-2 in the mile run with times of 5:00.14 and 5:02.06, respectively. Stoll would finish fifth in the 3,000 meter as well with a time of 10:16.22.

Betsey Allen took third in the 400-meter dash at 57.15, while Katie Lenahan was sixth in the 800 meter run at 2:19.43.

Miami's distance medley relay team took at 12:01.72, while the RedHawk 4X400 meter relay team took second in 3:53.74.

The RedHawks next travel to Muncie, Ind. to compete against Ball State and Western Michigan on Feb. 22.
