Final Stats

Miami's women's indoor track and field team continued to test itself against top competition by participating in the open Rod McCravy Memorial hosted by the University of Kentucky on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, junior Lauren Collins (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central) gave the RedHawks a second-place finish in the 20-pound weighted throw with a distance of 59 feet and 11.25 inches. Collins season-best throw was edged out by the throw from Keturah Lofton out of Ohio State.

Sophomore Tabitha Schwartz (Concord, Va./Appomatox) also showed Miami's prowess in the field events when she jumped 11 feet and eight inches in the pole vault on Saturday. Schwartz placed third behind a vaulter from Appalachian State and Ohio State.

On the running side, Miami's distance medley relay set a season best time of 11:49.03 to place third behind Kentucky and Mississippi State.

The Red and White will continue its travel, when it heads to the all-Ohio Championship in Findlay, Ohio next Saturday.
