High School: Earned four letters in track and cross country at Lexington HS under head coach Denise Benson ... served as team captain of the cross country team as a senior ... set the school record in cross country as a senior with a time of 18:07 ... also set a personal record in the 3200m with a time of 11:13 ... twice won the conference title in cross country and was the district champ three times ... as a senior was named district runner of the year for cross country, won the regional meet and earned All-Ohio honors by placing third at the state meet ... ran in the Mideast Meet of Champions as a senior as well ... a three-time Academic All-Ohio recipient.
