After competing for the RedHawks in 2009-10, became a student manager for the team beginning with the 2010-11 season.

2009-10: Indoors, ran a season-best 60m time of 8.58 at the Oiler Opener (12/5/09) ... posted a season-best 400m time of 1:05.57 at the BGSU Challenge (1/16/10). Did not compete outdoors.

High School: Lettered four years in both cross country and track at Glenbard East High School under head coach Joe Cristina ... was twice team captain for cross country and once for track ... top 400m time was 58.9 seconds ... helped set the school record in the 4x400 meter relay, which also won the DuPage Valley Conference title ... participated in the Illinois state meet and was named all-conference and academic all-conference ... also played a year of basketball ... a member of National Honor Society and Student Council ... earned highest honor roll.

Personal: Born in April of 1991 in Wood Dale, Ill. ... daughter of Kathy Newton-May and Loren May ... a sociology major with a minor in child studies ... father, Loren, graduated from Miami in 1970.
