High School: A four-year letterwinner in track at Winton Woods... holds the school record in both the shot put and discus... earned all-district and all-region honors four times... named all-conference in 2006, 2007 and 2008... was the state runner-up in the shot put in 2008... has personal bests of 42-3½ in the shot put and 127-11 in the discus... ranked 62nd in the country among senior shot putters... also earned three letters each in volleyball and basketball... basketball team won four straight league championships.

Personal: Niece of Linda and Kenneth McDowell... is the fourth member of her family to attend Miami... brother, Bill, played basketball at Wright State University and for the Cleveland Cavaliers and now plays overseas.
