Continuing a nine-match road stretch, Miami University's women's tennis team hits the road for a pair of weekend matches. The RedHawks (7-5; 1-0 Mid-American Conference) play their second league match, facing Akron at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 28 and Buffalo at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29.

Miami is coming off a dominant 7-0 win at Ball State last weekend to open Mid-American Conference play. The RedHawks won in straight sets in the top five flights and freshman Sydnee Bridger pulled out a three-set win at No. 6 singles. Miami took two of three doubles matches against the Cardinals. Freshman Anastasia Dracheva tries to remain undefeated this season, compiling an 8-0 mark all at No. 1 singles.

Akron enters the weekend with a 5-6 overall record and an 0-1 MAC mark after losing at Northern Illinois 4-3 last weekend. Buffalo is coming off a 7-0 win at Northern Illinois where it swept the Huskies in singles and doubles play to move to 6-4 overall and 1-0 in league play.
