Miami University's women's tennis team entertains the University of Cincinnati Bearcats on Sunday, Feb. 3 as the RedHawks look to extend their two-match winning streak following sweeps of both Dayton and Butler last weekend. The match is set for 5 p.m. at the Riverside Racquet Club in Hamilton, Ohio.

Heading into the weekend, both teams are going in opposite directions. The RedHawks have won two straight while the Bearcats have dropped their last two matches. Before taking on the RedHawks, Cincinnati will travel to Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 2.

After winning their first two matches of the season against Dayton (4-3) and Morehead St. (6-1), the Bearcats have lost their last two matches, both at the hands of Big East Conference opponents. Cincinnati lost to Syracuse, 6-1, and to Georgetown, 5-2.

The RedHawks have turned things around after losing the opening match of the season 6-1 to No. 25 Indiana. Miami's tennis team turned in a textbook performance last weekend, with only one match going into extra sets the entire weekend. Last weekend Miami defeat both Dayton and Butler 7-0.

After an impressive win at No. 1 single against Indiana's Alba Baldera on Jan. 20, freshman Anastasia Dracheva has lost only one game in her last two matches and was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 30.

Following this weekend's match against rival Cincinnati, the RedHawks will spend next weekend in Richmond, Ky., facing East Tennessee on Friday, Feb. 8 and Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 9.
