Miami University's women's tennis team hosts a pair of matches this weekend when the RedHawks entertain the Butler Bulldogs on Saturday, Jan. 26 and the Dayton Flyers on Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Riverside Racquet Club in Hamilton, Ohio. Both matches are set for 5 p.m.

All three teams are seeking their first win this weekend. Butler enters Saturday's match with an 0-2 mark after losing at DePaul, 6-1, and to Bowling Green, 5-2, last weekend. Dayton also enters the weekend with an 0-2 record. The Flyers were edged by Cincinnati on Jan. 11, 4-3, and lost at Ball State last weekend, 6-1. Despite the loss to the Cardinals, Dayton's Lania Grote was tabbed the A-10 Rookie of the Week, following a win at No. 2 singles to proved the Flyers with their lone point of the match against BSU.

The RedHawks opened their dual match season against strong competition last Sunday when they faced No. 25 Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., with the Hoosiers recording a 6-1 win.

In her first dual match as a RedHawk, freshman Anastasia Dracheva captured a win at No 1 single, battling against Indiana's Alba Baldera to pull out a third-set tiebreaking win.

The RedHawks also received strong performances by Brintney Larson at No. 2 singles and Megan Martzolf at No. 3 singles with both being edged in third-set tiebreakers.

Following the matches this weekend, Miami will host the University of Cincinnati on Sunday, Feb. 3 in Hamilton, Ohio. The match will begin at 5 p.m.
