West Lafayette, La. -- Miami wrapped up its fall tennis season on Sunday by winning just two matches against the host team, but enjoyed a successful weekend at the Purdue Invitational. Stephanie Danesis went undefeated in three matches in singles competition and teamed with Megan Martzolf to win two of three matches at No. 1 doubles.

After winning four of seven matches on Friday, the RedHawks took six wins against Cornell on Saturday. They won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, then won four of the six singles matches. Martzolf and Danesis traded spots from Friday to 1-2 in the lineup and cruised in the new positions.

On Sunday, MU was paired up against the host team, Purdue and the RedHawks lost all three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches. Danesis moved back to No. 1 and posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory. Jackie Kolman posted her second singles win in as many days when she claimed a No. 6 victory by a score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.

The RedHawks return to Purdue for the start of the spring season on Jan. 16.
