CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Stephanie Danesis and Megan Martzolf advanced to the round of 32 this weekend at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Tournament before falling on Saturday. Three other RedHawks earned victories in consolation matches in the main draw.

Danesis defeated Ashley Irvin of Louisville in the first round on Friday, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, but lost to third-seeded Catherine Newman of Vanderbilt 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 in the round of 32. Martzolf, who earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Middle Tennessee State's Natalie Araya on Friday, was eliminated by eighth-seeded Kata Szekely of Tennessee, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).

The consolation round for main draw first-round losers was also played on Saturday with Miami winning three matches. Anastasia Dracheva cruised past Alex Dachos of Middle Tennessee State 6-1, 6-1, while Riekie Honiball whitewashed Cincinnati's Anna Nelke, 6-0, 6-0. Brintney Larson defeated Middle Tennessee's Carla Nava 6-4, 6-2.

Miami wraps up its fall schedule in two weeks when it competes at the Purdue Invitational.
