TOLEDO, Ohio--With a 6-1 win at the University of Toledo on Friday afternoon, Miami University's women's tennis team remained undefeated in Mid-American Conference play, moving to 4-0 in league action and 10-5 on the season. It was the fourth straight win for the RedHawks, who are off to their best conference start since the 1998-99 squad went 9-0 in league play.

Miami won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to capture the first point of the match. Freshman Anastasia Dracheva and sophomore Brintney Larson pounded out a dominant 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles against Toledo's Martina Wodzinski and Maha Guirguis. Senior Leda Pesatova teamed up with freshman Sydnee Bridger to collect an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles against Toledo's Ashley Frey and Nadia Zoubareva to secure the doubles point as the Rockets earned an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles.

The RedHawks won in the second through sixth flights in singles play en route to the 6-1 win. Larson earned a three-set win against Frey at No. 2 singles to move to 4-0 in conference play. Larson edged Frey 7-5 in the first set before dropping the second set 3-6. She rebounded with a solid 6-2 win in the third set to pick up the win.

Pesatova downed Guirguis at No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 7-6 (3), while freshman Megan Martzolf defeated Toledo's Jenny Belsky 6-4, 7-6 (2) at No. 4 singles to capture the win in her first singles appearance in league play.

Senior Kelly Douple improved to 4-0 in MAC action with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the fifth flight against Zoubareva, while Bridger outlasted Toledo's Jessica Azoulay 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 in a three-set win at No. 6 singles.

Toledo notched its lone point of the match at No. 1 singles as Wodzinski defeated Dracheva in three sets, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3. It was Dracheva's first loss in singles play this season, moving her to 10-1 in dual match play, all at No. 1 singles.

Miami concludes a lengthy nine-match road stretch when it travels to Eastern Michigan University for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday, April 5.
