BUFFALO, N.Y. - With a 5-2 win over Buffalo Saturday afternoon, Miami University's women's tennis team improved to 9-5 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-American Conference.

Miami captured the doubles point as the RedHawks' No. 2 doubles team, Sydnee Bridger and Leda Pesatova, and No. 3 doubles team, Kelly Douple and Victoria Pulido defeated Buffalo's No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams by scores of 8-2 and 8-4, respectively.

Anastasia Dracheva remained undefeated on the season with a three-set win, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, at No. 1 singles, improving to 10-0 at No. 1 singles. Brintney Larson won the No. 2 singles with a straight set victory, while Douple rallied back to win No. 4 singles, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, after dropping the first set. Pulido also grabbed a point winning No. 6 singles.

The RedHawks continue their long road stretch when they travel to Toledo and Eastern Michigan for a pair of matches April 4 and April 5. Miami and Toledo are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 4, while the RedHawks and Eagles also are set to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5.
