OXFORD, Ohio--Miami University's women's tennis team had a dominant performance in its second dual match of the year, seizing a 7-0 win against Butler on Saturday evening at the Riverside Racquet Club. The RedHawks, playing in their first home match of the young season, moved to 1-1 on the year, while the Bulldogs dropped to 0-3. It was Miami's 10th win against Butler, moving to 10-0 in the all-time series with the Bulldogs.

Miami swept through doubles to capture the doubles point. Sophomore Brintney Larson and freshman Cara Wald teamed up at No. 1 doubles to produce a commanding 8-1 win. Freshmen Megan Martzolf and Anastasia Dracheva recorded an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles, while freshman Sydnee Bridger and senior Leda Pesatova captured an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles for the RedHawks.

In singles play, Dracheva blanked Butler's Natali Jaimes 6-0, 6-0 at in the first flight to pick up her second straight win in as many matches at No. 1 singles. Larson posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles, while Martzolf pulled out a third-set tiebreaker at No. 3 singles.

Pesatova put together a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, while senior Kelly Douple recorded a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles for the Red and White. At No. 6 singles, Wald earned a 6-3, 6-1 win.

Miami seeks its second straight win when it hosts Dayton at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27 at Riverside Racquet Club in Hamilton, Ohio.
