HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Miami University synchronized skating team earned a berth into next month's World Championships in Ottawa, Ontario with a second-place finish at the U.S. Championships. The RedHawks took second in both the short and long programs to earn World Championship berth, while the collegiate team won the U.S. Championship with 8-of-9 first-place ordinals in its competition.

The senior team, which entered the free skate in second place behind the Haydenettes, drew the last skating position for the free skate. After a clean program the RedHawks remained in second place unable to mount a front on the Haydenettes lead after Thursday's short program.

The RedHawks will skate next month in Ottawa, Ontario, at the ISU World Championships on April 3-6.
