SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Miami University senior synchronized skating team sits in third place at the United States Synchronized Team Skating Championships in San Diego, Calif., after scoring two second-place ordinals, five third-place ordinals and two fourth-place ordinals in the short program competition last night.

The RedHawks head into Saturday's free skate program chasing the Haydenettes and the Crystallettes. Miami will have to climb into one of the top two final positions to capture their fourth straight trip to the World Championships, which are scheduled for April 1-3 in Zagreb, Croatia.
