LOWELL, Mass. - Miami's senior synchronized skating team took second in the short program at the U.S. National Synchronized Skating Championships on Thursday, earning all nine second-place ordinals. The team competes in the long program on Saturday.

The Haydenettes club team swept the first-place votes, while Miami finished ahead of 11 other club teams. Both the collegiate team, which won its group in the short program, and the senior team have Friday off from competition before Saturday's free skate. The collegiate squad competes in the 4:23-5:48 p.m. window, while the senior squad goes between 8 and 10:17 p.m.
