GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Midwestern Champions is what the Miami University senior synchronized skating team can be referred to now after its dominating performance this past weekend in North Dakota. The RedHawks scored all first-place ordinals in both the short and free programs, respectively, as they beat out the likes of Michigan and Western Michigan.

Friday evening featured the short program, which the Red and White cruised through receiving first-place ordinals from all nine judges. However, Saturday's free program was more exciting as the RedHawks not only swept the ordinals, but they also received to perfect 6.0's for their artistic marks. Miami also received four 5.7's, and one 5.2 in addition to its two perfect scores.

The senior team competes next when it travels to Neuchatel, Switzerland, for the Switzerland International competition on Feb. 22.
