OXFORD, Ohio - Goggin Ice Arena was filled with synchronized skating team's competing for the Miami Challenge Cup on Saturday, but only one team came away with the crown as Miami's collegiate team blew away the competition. The RedHawks won both the synchronized skating portion of the Cup, as well as the overall competition.

The collegiate team won the synchronized skating event with straight first-place ordinals. Michigan State was second, Western Michigan was third, Bowling Green was fourth, and Northern Michigan followed in fifth.

The Red and White won the overall competition with 117.5 points. Michigan State was second with 91.5, and Western Michigan was third with 82.5 team points.
