OXFORD, Ohio - Coach Dave Jennings's Miami University women's swimming and diving team hosts Division III national power Kenyon College this Saturday (Nov. 14) at the Nixon Aquatic Center. The first race begins at 2 p.m.

Miami split a pair of MAC meets last weekend on the road, losing at Toledo on Friday, 174-124, and then defeating host Bowling Green on Saturday, 165-129. The RedHawks are 4-3 overall in dual meet competition, including a 3-1 MAC record.

Kenyon, the three-time defending national champion in Division III, is winless in two dual meets thus far, losing to Ohio State and Dennison. Since its inaugural season of 1975-'76, the Ladies have captured 23 of the last 26 NCAA Division III national championships. From 1984 through 2000, the Kenyon women won 17 straight national championships, the second-longest national championship streak in the history of the NCAA.

"Coach Jim Steen's Ladies will provide great competition this weekend," said Jennings. "Kenyon College is always at the top of Division III Nationally and that success should continue again this year."

Last week Miami nominated KELLY VEHR (Cincinnati) last week for the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week award. Vehr won four of the five individual races in which she competed last weekend. Against Toledo, Vehr won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.99) and the 200 breaststroke (2:21.07). At Bowling Green, she led the RedHawks to victory with first-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.93) and the 400 individual medley (4:31.71).

Miami's next action comes on December 3-5 when it hosts its Invitational at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
