The Miami University women's swimming and diving team travels to Ball State this weekend for their final dual meet of the season. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Last weekend, the RedHawks split two dual meets, defeating the Ladies of Kenyon College, 147-88, but losing to the Eagles of Eastern Michigan, 159-141, in their final home contest of the season, bringing their record 6-5.

Against Kenyon, Miami started strong finishing first and second in the 400 medley relay and Allison Stevens, Alyson Schmidt, Karen Frazier and Kathryn Stephens all notched first place finishes.

Versus Eastern Michigan, junior Malarie Schmidt had three first place finishes and freshman Miranda Kaltenborn took first in the 1000 free, winning by more than 10 seconds. Seniors Kathryn Stephens and Kristen Bezier were honored before their last meet at the Nixon Aquatic Center.

Ball State is looking to bounce back and finish the season off strong after falling to Ohio at home last weekend.

Following the Ball State meet, the RedHawks begin preparation for the MAC Championships, which will be held in Buffalo, N.Y., Feb. 20-23.
