After dropping a dual meet to Purdue last Saturday, the Miami women's swimming and diving team heads to Athens, OH in search of a conference victory against Ohio this Saturday at 1 p.m.

Saturday marks senior day for the Bobcats and Ohio enters the dual meet with a 9-1 dual-meet record and a 4-1 record in the conference. On Tuesday, Ohio defeated Marshall 182-131 to improve to 6-0 at home this season.

Last time out, junior Malarie Schmidt led the RedHawks with a win in the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:34.14, and went on to finish third in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke. Adding to the RedHawks' first place finishes, Kathryn Stephens touched the wall at 57.52 to win the 100-yard fly, and Stephens, Carly Gibson, Maggie French, and Jennifer Nemeth clinched the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:39.29.

Diver Kelsey Anagnos finished second on the one-meter board with a score of 259.28, while junior Melissa Roemmele was third on the three-meter board with 270.30 points. The RedHawks closed out the meet with a second place finish by the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Allison Stevens, Alyson Schmidt, Kristen Bezier, and Leila Sloeneker in a time of 1:39.31.

Miami will return home after its road trip to Athens, Ohio to face Eastern Michigan in a dual meet on Feb. 2 at 2 p.m.

Results for the Miami/Ohio meet will be posted once they are received.
