Final Stats

After scoring 1989 points over the weekend, the RedHawks have won the 14th Annual Miami Invitational. The 200-yard medley relay team comprised of juniors Malarie Schmidt and Allison Stevens, sophomore Karen Frazier and freshman Nicole Roddenbery set a new pool record with a time of 1:44.11. For the second day in a row, Karen Frazier set a varsity record for Miami, finishing the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:16.09. In doing so, Frazier has made her NCAA "B" National Qualifying Cut.

Junior Allison Stevens took first place in the 100-yard freestyle event, with a time of :50.90. Junior Kristen Bezier tied Truman State sophomore Kate Aherne for second place, finishing in :51.67.

Frazier also finished first in the 200-yard individual medley, completing the race in 2:06.27. Schmidt took third in the event with a time of 2:08.39

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of juniors Allison Stevens, Alyson Schmidt and Kristen Bezier and sophomore Allison Way earned a first place finish with a time of 3:27.15.

Miami placed four divers (So., Kelsey Anagnos, Jr., Melissa Roemmele, Jr., Alex Enriquez and So., Rachael Grimm) in the top eight, earning 119 points for the team.

The RedHawks now head into Christmas break and return to action January 15, 2008 when they host Cincinnati.
