Final Stats

TOLEDO, Ohio--Miami University's women's swimming and diving team was defeated by the University of Toledo on Friday evening, 170-130. The RedHawks drop to 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Mid-American Conference.

Senior Kathryn Stephens and sophomore Karen Frazier were multiple event winners for the RedHawks. Stephens posted wins in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly. Stephens clocked a time of 0:57.54 in the 100 fly. She touched the wall in a career-best time of 2:05.57 in the 200-yard fly, besting her nearest competitor by nearly three seconds.

Frazier posted wins in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke. With a time of 1:03.37, Frazier set a Greater Toledo Aquatic Club pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke. She then sent another pool record in the 200-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in a time of 2:17.68. Both were also career-best times.

Junior Allison Stevens was the other RedHawk to post a win, notching a time of 1:53.41 in the 200-yard freestyle.

The RedHawks lost their first Mid-American Conference dual meet since Feb. 3, 2001, snapping a 48-meet win streak. Miami returns to action at Bowling Green at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10.
