TOLEDO, Ohio - Miami's women's swimming and diving team kept on rolling through its Mid-American Conference schedule Saturday at Toledo, defeating the host Rockets, 164-136, as well as visiting Akron, 225-73, to push its overall mark to 10-1 and its conference record to 4-0. The RedHawks won eight of 16 events, with seniors Emily Nayes (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) and Kelly Janura (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) combing for five of those victories.

Nayes took the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.68, the 200 breast in 2:22.35 and the 400 individual medley in 4:31.50, while Janura took first in the 50 (24.24) and 100 free (53.74). They also made up half of the 400 medley relay, which also was comprised of junior Lyndsay Barnes (Lexington, Ky./Dunbar) and freshman Trisha Lamb (Oregon, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy), that finished first in 3:56.65.

Other winners for Miami were freshman Cara Magee (Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon), who touched the wall first in the 1,000 free in a time of 10:21.21, and sophomore Amy Miranda (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy), who lowered her MAC-best time in the 500 free by more than a second with a 5:00.26 clocking.

Miami's next meet is Feb. 1 at 1 p.m., when it travels to Bowling Green to take on the Falcons as well as Ohio.
