2008-09: Added the 200 backstroke to her list of specialties ... swam a personal best in the 200 back (2:03.30) at the MAC Championships ... also set a personal best in the 400 IM (4:32.54) at the Miami Invitational.
2007-08: Her top times as a freshman were 5:04.44 in the 500 free, 10:20.34 in the 1000 free, 17:10.37 in the 1650 free (fifth at MAC Championships), and 4:33.87 in the 400 IM.
High School: Five-time swimming letterwinner ... posted three straight top-10 state finishes in the 500 freestyle, including a ninth-place performance as a senior ... was a successful club swimmer for the Memphis Tigers and coach Dave Smith ... selected to the 2006 Southeastern Zone Team ... placed second in the open water 5K at the Southern Zone Championships ... set the Tennessee state record for 11- and 12-year-olds in the mile run.
Personal: Daughter of Mark and Sherry Kaltenborn, Miranda was born in Japan ... majoring in psychology ... would like to be a high school counselor.
