Winter Softball Camps Brochure 
OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University Softball team will holding two skills camps on Jan. 14. From 8:30-11:30 a.m. the RedHawks will hold their Defensive Skills Winter Camp, while from 1-4 p.m. they will hold their Offensive Skills Winter Camp. Both camps will take place at Withrow Hall. The objectives of these camps are to provide potential student-athletes with quality instruction and an opportunity to display their abilities and talents through a professional style camp.
Pitching will not be covered at this camp and no games will be played, however position players (including catchers) will have the opportunity to work on both their offensive and defensive skills through a variety of fun drills.
The camp, which is for athletes between the 7th and 12th grades, will be led by Miami assistant coaches Christina Sutcliffe and Amanda Buchholz as well as the Miami University softball team. All campers are asked to wear proper softball attire and provide their own bats, gloves, helmet, catching gear, turf shoes and cleats. Campers will receive a t-shirt for participating in the camp.
The cost of each camp is $70 if postmarked before Dec. 30 and $90 if postmarked after. A discounted rate of $120 is available if campers want to participate in both cams. Checks should be made payable to Miami Softball Winter Camps and mailed to Miami University, Softball Elite Camp, 230 Millett Hall, Oxford, OH 45056, along with the application form from the brochure above , which includes a medical waiver form that must be signed.
