OXFORD, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference Tournament Champion Miami RedHawk softball team is proud to announce that it will be offering two softball skills camps this summer. The July 20 session is for incoming 9th through 12th graders, while the July 21 session is for incoming 6th through 8th graders.
Each camp will be staffed by head coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly, assistant coaches Kellyn Tate and Christina Sutcliffe, as well as the Miami softball team. In 2009, Schoenly and her staff led the RedHawks to a 33-24 record, winning the MAC Tournament championship and appearing in the NCAA Tournament.
The morning session will consist of workouts and instruction for the pitchers along separate workouts and instruction for position players. Pitchers will need to bring a catcher to the camp. The afternoon session will consist of more drills along with offensive and defensive strategy sessions. The cost is $100 if campers register before July 1 and $125 after July 1.
