OXFORD - Miami University Outfielders Alicia Hogl and Breanna Robinson were honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as members of the 2008 All-Mideast Region team.

Robinson was named to the All-Mideast Region first-team after a spectacular senior campaign that saw her set a number of school records. She now holds Miami's single-season records for home runs (11) and runs batted in (51). Robinson led the Mid-American Conference in home runs (11), slugging percentage (.712) and total bases (102), and ranked in the league's Top-10 for batting average (.366 - second), hits per game (1.12 - third), doubles (12 - tied-third), triples (4 - tied-second), and runs batted in (51 - second).

Hogl earned All-Mideast Region second-team accolades with an impressive sophomore season for Miami. One of three RedHawks to start all 50 games, Hogl had a breakout season in 2008, improving her batting average by 84 points over her freshman year. Hogl led all Miami players in multiple-hit games with 17, including a four-hit performance at Eastern Kentucky.

Both Hogl and Robinson are now eligible for a selection to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first, second or third teams.
