The RedHawks were able to hold off the Thundering Herd until the sixth inning in the opening game of the double-header when Marshall collected its lone run of the game. Keri Brisnehan posted her 14th multiple-hit game of the season, going 2-for-3 at the plate to tally half of Miami's hits for the contest. Amber Arnold earned the loss in the circle for Miami, giving up one run off three hits. She also struck out six.
In the second game, the Thundering Herd scored two runs in the first and one in the second en route to a 3-0 triumph. Four Miami hitters, including Brisnehan, each collected one hit to account for the RedHawks' team total of four. Brisnehan was 3-for-6 on the day. Abbey Arnold was handed the loss, giving up three runs on six hits. She struck out four batters.
Miami ends the 2000 season with a 16-30 overall record and a 5-15 MAC mark.
